Moments to Remember: Smiles During Reading

Sometimes during reading lessons there are not smiles... but complaints, folded arms, frowns and grumpiness!

But those moments seem to fade away when smiles show up during reading lessons;)

Yesterday was one of those days!! I called my eldest boy to the table and he greeted me with the grumps :/ Thankfully our lessons was a short one that we had started the day before.... so he perked up a bot when he realized he wasn't going to be reading much:/

After his assigned lesson I mentioned that our next lesson was one that Anna really liked when she worked through our book. That intrigued him...

then I told him that it was a lesson full of jokes;) And that she liked them soo much she copied one for Daddy that he had in his office for a long time...

and Chris got to work;)

He read and read... then smiled:)

And then he asked me to make a movie of him reading some jokes;)

Then he asked if we could photocopy his jokes so he could practice reading them and tell them to Daddy when he got home!

Lydia had to have a copy, too!!

When Chris was drifting off to sleep Daddy came in to say good night and Chris perked back up to read him some jokes;)

It's always nice and pleasant to have smiles during reading:)

My connection is too slow right now to watch the video, but how cute that he enjoyed the lesson. And I'm so glad I'm not the only one that deals with complaints.
