TO get to their house we have a 5.5 hour trip. Add three potty trained kids and a 2 month old who is nursing every 2+ hours and you have extra stops and extra travel time... yippeee... hahaa
On the way TO Grandma and Grandaddy's we had an ingenious idea:) We decided that we'd try to stop at a Walmart on our 1st stop. Why a Walmart???
Because they are notorious for having one of these...

So we picked up a DVD and let the kids enjoy it for the remainder of the trip. We knew of a local Redbox to Grandma and Grandaddy so dropping it off was EASY!!!
And the kids were very glad to watch a "new" DVD!! They seriously watched the Dora Christmas DVD like 3 times in a row:) We were VERY glad to return it to the Redbox!!! LOL!!!
Oh, I should also mention that Brian tried to rent two movies at the 1st stop but the 2nd DVD got stuck. So Brian dialed up the customer service # in the parking lot and they gladly checked to make sure their system didn't have us listed as having the DVD.
My only regret was that I didn't check for Redbox coupon codes before we left... we could have gotten one free and saved ourselves a $1!
Anyway, that's the way to travel with kiddies;)

We enjoy Redbox too! I knew that we could return to either box in our local area, but I didn't realize they could be dropped off that far apart. Wow. This opens up new opportunities for sure!
One of our local Redbox kiosks now charges $2 per night, but the other still charges $1 - crazy.
Hi! I found your blog through Kelly's Korner - cute blog!
My husband and I just took our five year anniversary trip and our first stop was a Wal-Mart too! For the same reason - Redbox. We don't have kids yet, but we enjoy being able to rent and return DVDs all across the country!
So great to hear a positive Redbox experience! Any time I've tried they never have the movies they advertise to have or they are all taken. You've given me some encouragement to try the Redbox thing again! Glad you had a great trip!
That's a great idea,
That really is an good idea! I'll have to remember this for our next vacation!
I didn't realize you could drop them at another location, either. Good to know!
