Even Nate got in on the fun;)
Our "funny" picture.... funny thing is....
... Chris didn't realize his sign was upside-down!! Boy, oh boy do I have my work cut out for me this year!! A class clown with an audience... whoops, I mean sisters:)
This week I have a couple of tasks in mind!
#1 We've really SLACKed on chores this summer... both on the kids doing them AND me checking to see that they've been completed. So tomorrow we are starting from stratch.... I"m giving the kids their new chore "charts" and we'll begin with HOW to do them correctly. And then we'll have this week to practice before we start school next week!
Keeping up with housework was one of the biggest homeschool surprises for me last year.... with my mornings and most naptimes focused on schooling the housework didn't get completed as quickly!! So hopefully having the kids do their few chores, we can keep the house a little better;) HOPEFULLY :)
#2 Getting back to the books!! Throughout the summer we've used some napping-Nate moments to work on history, memorize verses and math, but not on any schedules! So this last summer week, I'm hoping to have the kids doing a little work from their fun workbooks and doing history together like I'd like to happen this school year.
#3 Oh, yes... and play!! We ALL benefit from spending moments playing together with the goal being to spend time and play with eachother;)
We are linked up to the Not Back-to-School Blog Hop at Heart of the Matter! We've enjoyed these link ups and meeting other blogging homeschoolers:) I've already "met" our twin family.... a family with kids that sound JUST like my crew but a few years older!!
