Tiny Talk Tuesday: The Super Duper Coolest Thing

Ok, ok. So we still don't have their swing set or trampoline up. When the kids play outside they ride their bikes, dig holes in the woods or catch bugs/frogs;)

But I was a little convicted about their lack of outside "to dos" when Lydia said that the "super duper duper coolest thing to do is take a bath"!!

LOL!! The new house does have a big bathtub in the master bathroom;) And the kids love playing in it:) I totally have not had more than 3 kids in the bathtub at once... totally not me... and especially NOT this summer when it's either been over 100 degrees outside or muddy!!! And they need a bath EVERY TIME they go outside!!

But now I know why they like getting soo dirty outside... they love baths;)

Just one problem.... they splash water everywhere.


I have to share Nate's after tub routine...

he curls into a ball under and on top towels.

When he's done snuggling, he emerges;)

Ready to be silly again!!

You Capture: Bathrooms & Purple

I live in amazing parsonage. When we moved into the 3 bedroom & an office house we felt like it was a mansion;) Then when expecting Nate the church overwhelmed us with the huge blessing of finishing off our attic... giving us another full bath, another office and a big room (right now the playroom).

The one room I still hold my breath when I walk into it is my "pink" bathroom:) It's very dated with pink and maroon tiles... we tried at one time to decorate it with pink or maroon details... it looked worse;) But it holds a special place in my heart because it's the place where I've bathed my babes for almost 7 years...


it holds lots of fun, silly bath time memories:)


And has plenty more to come with the newest little one


joining right into the bath time antics;)

I"m also adding some purple;) These are my newest flowers... finally some flowers in the front!!


I love the hanging iron baskets that we found at Walmart. And we got our flowers at Walmart, too.... in the clearance section;) Whoo- hoo:) I was very glad to have some pretty things at half the price... nice, especially when I'm starting soo late:(

Weird Fears

Ok.......when you potty train most kids you use the potty.....Christopher is just different. To get him used to the idea of what pee-pee is and where it comes from we've developed a habit of letting him pee-pee in the tub.

This morning I gave the kids a quick bath (since we got in late last night). Anyway, Little Man jumped in the tub and did the pee-pee thing on something he thought was a "bug". I'm sure there wasn't a bug in there because I had just taken a shower and because I looked for it after he told me. But he wouldn't touch the water...just plain refused until I put Lydia in and started washing her like nothing was wrong.

As you can see he quickly adjusted to getting his bath, like normal!! It was just so strange and funny the way he had himself propped up like that.

Christopher also managed to bust his lip during Sunday School this morning. He tripped over himself (or something like that) getting out of his chair. The Sunday School teacher came and got me because he started fussing for me ;( Anyway, his tooth must have cut through his lip because it was bleeding on the inside and out....ouch!! After a few moments with Mommy he was back to normal and back in the chair to do his craft :)
