Just Two Racing Wheels

After months of watching his sisters ZOOM around on their bikes, Chris decided to try riding without training wheels a few weekends ago. Once he really tried it, he took off and LOVES riding his bike.

The obvious difference between girls and boys is even more obvious with Chris on two wheels now. He ZOOMS like he is in a race EVERYWHERE he goes:)

Lydia's Newest Feat

Lydia is a very independent little girl! She is tries to keep up with Anna and Chris. She has watched Anna ride without training wheels for over a year now.

Sunday, Chris asked to practice riding his bike without training wheels. After a couple of attempts and falls, he was ready to go back to digging;)

But Lydia saw the opportunity to practice some too:) And so Brian helped her get on and held her while she peddled a little while..... and then she was gone!

We need to work on the dismount:) And getting on the bike!

But other than that I'm soo proud of her. She falls down and jumps back on!! I starting riding a bike without training wheels when I was 10!! Yes, 10 years old! And here's my little "tomboy princess" riding around the yard at 3!!!

The Two Wheel Wonder

LOL

My Kids LOVE riding their bikes.... they really do!!! They are constantly asking to go outside to ride:)

Anna has been working hard to ride on only 2-wheels! Brian and I have been practicing with her for weeks. Saturday Anna began to ask again for Brian to practice with her. Just a couple of tries and she was zooming all over the place:)

And here are Chris' skills on display:)

Ahh... I just can get enough beautiful days outside!!

Our kids LOVE riding bikes, especially after being couped up in the house (all these rainy spirng days...grrr)! Anyway, within the last few months Lydia has learned how to ride a tricycle!! It's soo cute to see her do it, so small with her little legs going around and around!!!

Here is a pic from last weekend...

Who LIVES at YOUR house????

Do you have Shaving Cream Man ?????

Does COUSIN IT jump on your trampoline???

Or does ELMO ride a bike up and down your driveaway???

HE he heee... My kids are too cute!

Chris LOVES covering himself in shaving cream when he plays in the bath tub. Anna was jumping soo high in the trampoline... but her hair was EVERY WHERE! And Lydia is learning to peddle the tricycle... it's such a cute stage and I think it looks like the scenes of Elmo peddling... their little legs moving around and around just following the tricycle's lead:)

Snapshots of our Saturday

Yes, we attempted some potty training this morning.... looks like I need to do a little more training before the "Big Boy" pants stay out!!!

Spaghetti Face!!

Good 'Ole Lydia Cheese-ing

We played for a while with our little frog....Christopher caught him over and over...
Once I thought the little guy was a goner but he was just playing dead or staying still so Chris couldn't see him!!
Even Anna held the frog today!!
And tried to catch the last tadpole:) He was too fast to get a picture of...
Fun picture where you can see the frog's details.....
it just got sunny all of a sudden

Daddy riding around Lydia
Anna and Christopher riding around

Christopher's new bike

Grandma and Grandaddy got Christopher a new bike while they were here..... we think from the blog posts they felt like he had outgrown the red tricycle:)And he really had, plus I was a little uncomfortable with him riding the short tricycle (not to mention it took him FOREVER since the front wheel was soo small).

Once we got him on the bike we realized that it would be a bike he'd have to grow into and that Anna could use until his feet would reach BOTH peddles. The funny thing was that he hadn't even tried to actually ride the Dora bike, just because if it's out of the garage Anna is on it:) You can see from the picture WHO has really enjoyed the new bike... she can goo soo FAST now!!!

Well here is our evening walk/ride and Christopher on his "new" Dora bike :) He's been riding this bike for all of three days. And it was a bike that Anna didn't even get until she was 3 yrs old and here's my little 2 1/2 year old mastering it:)
