Getting back late from church tonight... I lost track of Chris... (that always is bad)! So I went into his room... hmm, faint smell of stinky...
As I tried to find him I saw a shadow in the bathroom. In the dark bathroom his had his pants down and was trying to clean stinky of his own bottom...
with.......
BRIAN's new toothbrush!!!
Of all the things to grab to clean his own bottom!
I stuck him into the tub with everything on. Shut the bathroom door and just LAUGHED (quietly, of course)!! What a nutty kid!!
Thank goodness I have a handful of new toothbrushes I got free at the triples!! One reason to stock up... never know when your son will use yours for whatever.

When she takes off her OWN diaper
***WARNING to those with weak tummies****
SO Lydia made a stinky in her diaper. I totally knew she had done it and was finishing my conversation before I changed her.
She wanted changing sooner:) So She comes into the hallway carrying her dirty, stinky diaper by a corner. Yes, carrying it by a CORNER...
So I do a quick check hoping all the stinky is still contained in the diaper... ummm.... not so lucky...
There was a big pile of poopy on the floor in Christopher's room.... just sitting there on the floor.
Mommy's response was stick the stinky, dirty child in the bathtub and then clean up the mess before it got any worse or sunk into the carpet....ewwww
So quick response had Brian grabbing a spatula from the kitchen. As he was leaning over to do it and I ran for the camera. He looked up and saw me and decided I should clean up the mess:) So I did...

Brian took this pic in my very kid-drooled-on mirror (has since been Windexed... although it probably looks the same now).
I thought this picture was funny b/c of my expression and my trusty sidekick:)
Yes, so whoever is CRAZY enough to believe that your sweet, cute, cuddly little baby will never create a disgusting mess .......
Think again:)
Brian thought to take a picture of the culprit hanging out in the bathtub .... ummm, she doesn't look very sorrowful for her antics. Does she???

One last thought: PANCAKES anyone???

Sweet Little Friends & more Boy antics
Aren't they the cutest?? You should have heard them saying "cheese"!!
It's been such a treat to see Taite's and Lydia's personalities coming out.... and even sweeter to see their little friendship blossom! They are soo cute together and have done pretty well playing together (for being under 2 yrs old)!! It's funny to hear them say "hi" to people together and make each other giggle.
What a blessing to have a friend so close in age so nearby!!
I should mention this soo all those moms of boys can include me in their "gross stories" club. At the park Christopher explored around the edge of the playground for a little while. He came back to me with both hands full and a "Mom!! Look at this!!" (just as excited as ever).
And WHAT does he try to give to me?????
Doggie poopie....yes, BOTH hands FULL of doggie poopie!!!
In his defense, we're not around dogs or other animals with BIG poopies... so he might NOT have known what it was...
BUT..... ewwwww gross!!!

Fine Dining???
Ok, if we're really honest, we remember having really gross habits as kids.... hmm, mine kids lick their shoes when in the car???? or eat food off the floor. One of our kiddies has another gross habit....
One of our sweet children confessed to their Daddy that they "picked their nose and ate the booger at the end of their finger." Ewww....
Brian answered them, "Well, that's pretty gross, you shouldn't do it anymore."
My child answered,"Daddy you need to try new foods."
*** So I know I need to watch for it and correct. In fact I saw them at the first step the other day and sent them into the bathroom to wash their hands. They came out and asked "Why?" And I gave them the GERM talk..... I haven't seen it since..... so far

Cute Pic and Gross Antics

My mother-in-love shared this with us!!! What a GREAT photo!!! Thanks!!
Phew, what an afternoon....it started at 2pm (that's a bad sign...b/c it's when everyone is ready to take a nap). The kids were playing in the living room while I was still cleaning up lunch (our kitchen sink is clogged for the 2nd day so we're having to improvised). As Brian was heading out the door, Anna announced that someone had a stinky. Brian called back that he had just changed Lydia and I had just changed Christopher. Knowing that I could finish the task I was working on I said that I'd be there in a minute......
Anna came running back in not 30 seconds later saying that Christopher had a "stinky mustache"???
Somehow Lydia's stinky diaper had been removed and had landed on the carpet, creating quite a mess. And little Inspector Christopher decided to "smell" it and stuck is nose in the mess. When I got to him, he had stinky all over his nose and around his mouth.... EWWWWWW!!!
Leaving the stinky on the floor, couch cushions and couch I grabbed the two little ones and put them in the bathtub. And I called Brian back into the house to help:) In the bathtub, Brian took everything away from the kids....toys, shower curtain.....and didn't turn on the water for safety (we were both busy scrubbing the living room). They had NOTHING to do in the tub....but play with the rest of the stinky on Lydia's bottom......... EWWWWWW!!!
Life with little ones...... priceless :)
Sorry no pictures.... would have been truly disgusting to have the visual but I was dealing with the mess and smell at the time. It didn't even cross my mind to snap a picture of it until I thought of blogging it while I was dressing two clean little monkeys.
But now they are all sleeping and peace (and cleanliness) have been restored.... for now:)
