If you're wondering why he has a spoon... he's happier at meals when he's holding a spoon or fork:) Don't ask me why, but it works and he loves them.
And this Momma can enjoy a few bites of her own meal:)
Oh, knows. Maybe he'll use them earlier since he's gotten soo much exposure to them:) He really likes the kinds that have "soft" parts at the ends so he can chew on them.
And he chews on everything:) For good reason...
there are two little teeth that can be seen, just not felt yet:)
One of the easiest ways to torment our sweet and familiar Christmas tree isto steal the ornaments:)And Nate is quite the thief!
And just today as I was in the kitchen preparing lunch, Nate turned the corner and got out of my sight for a few minutes. And then I heard Lydia from the dining room (where the tree is), "Oh, Nate.... nooooo!"
Then she comes to me with a crumbled up wet piece of construction paper. "Nate ate Baby Jesus!"
And then there is The Shake!
Oh, yes.... I would have never let the others do this to the Christmas tree.... but I've lightened up some;) And it's just too precious and funny!!
This has nothing to do with Nate or the Christmas tree.....
The kids were watching a video that had a male & female cartoon kissing. Anna immediately responded,"ewwwww!! [turning to us] Oh, Daddy, you and Mommy don't kiss on the lips, do you?"
LOL!!! Of course we answered that we do.... lead to more "ewwww"'s!! ha haaha aa
During a sweet conversation last week, we talked about things that encourage us...
as mothers, as teachers, as wives,
but most importantly followers of Christ:)
And I shared with my friends, how encouraged and refreshed I am when I make it a practice to read and soak in Ann's writings (and pictures) at Holy Experience. And when I take the time to join her in giving thanks for the awesome gifts God gives me weekly, daily, and usually every hour.
Regretfully soo many times I see the "gifts" as burdens.... another sock laying on the floor, another meal to prepare, another lesson to complete or sink to scrub out.
In the midst of racing through another (cold!!!!) week, I've taken a bit of time to pray for a right attitude and for a spirit of thankfulness....

37. brothers reading together under the Christmas tree 38. sister snuggles & giggles 39. a quiet afternoon - reflections and naps;) 40. a week of schoolbooks ready to read (thanks to our awesome Children's librarian!) Colossians 3:17 And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
Nate is on the verge of crawling. I've been hesitant to post an "almost crawling" video just because I'm his Momma and I think Everything his does is genius and adorable :) But maybe some of you might enjoy his "almost crawling" !!
And even though he's not totally crawling yet, he's still getting to where he wants to go:)

He only gets faster from here.... just day I had to find a new place for the TV remotes (when he was in the walker) and take away TWO Christmas tree ornaments!!
